Y-Cable for Flame Boss Meat Probes
Serious barbecue chefs know that just because one meat cut has reached optimal temperature doesn’t mean they all have. Furthermore, different meats have different temperature needs. Being able to track more than one cut at once can greatly improve your barbecue experience.
The Flame Boss Temperature Probe Y-Cable is designed for adding additional probes to a Flame Boss model 300 smoker controller. You can use two Y-cables to add two additional meat probes for a total capacity of three meat probes. This gives you the ability to monitor multiple types of meat at one, cook beef to different internal temperatures to satisfy different palates and much more.
The Y-cable works with all Flame Boss high-temperature probes and probes with coated cables. Follow the configurations below to use these Y-cables for monitoring two or three meat probes. How to Use the Flame Boss 300 Y-Cable
- 2 Meat Probes: Plug one Y-cable into the pit jack on the Flame Boss 300 controller. Plug the pit probe into the black lead labeled PIT/M1. Plug one meat probe into the red lead labeled M2/M3 and plug the second meat probe into the meat jack.
- 3 Meat Probes: Plug one Y-cable into the pit jack on the Flame Boss 300 controller. Plug the pit probe into the black lead labeled PIT/M1. Plug the first meat probe into the red lead labeled M2/M3. Plug the second Y-cable into the meat jack. Plug the second meat probe into the black lead labeled PIT/M1 and the third meat probe into the red lead labeled M2/M3.
